Here we are Nearly Officially summer!
We have 3 kids!! this has been such a wonderful experience. Dan and I are very happy. I can't lie! It gets stressful at times. These two additions are teaching us more patience and they have things to work through too! There are days that are rough and days that are so great and happy. Nobody ever said it was a cake walk and nobody can predict how tomorrow will be.
NeVaeh continues to be a pretty happy being big sister. We have her doing Speech therapy once a week this summer to get her to use the Ipad for communication. Along with that she is getting Adaptive Aquatics weekly for an hour that we take her to. Also she gets an woppin 12 hours of summer school so every other Wednesday we take her to that.
Aaliyah has several random Dr appointments.
Andres has numerous Dr appointments. Unfortunately he didn't qualify for summer school so I'm trying to squeeze into everything a time to work on some school work with these two to keep them from regressing this summer. He's been challenging us a bit with some behaviors but we are working through this. He's a super boy most the time, he just has some things to work through.
We also are trying to get to the children's story time play at Mckennen park every week. We have the pool in the back yard we swim in almost every day when the weather's right. They all enjoy that. We went to the Cultural event at the Falls last weekend and the kids enjoyed it, especially the Japanese dance...Hmm nothing to do with their culture but they got to appreciate other cultures.
There was all different foods there also.
We celebrated father's day yesterday. The kids each picked out different little things for Daddy to give him and NeVaeh picked out a giant cookie frosted like a watermelon. The kids all had pink faces after eating it :) they loved it. I made steak and mashed potatoes..Not often we eat real food.
You know for mother's day Dan got me a Picnic table. It is great. We now after the kids are in bed will sit outside watching the firefly's. SueZQ will jump after them and we spend some quality time discussing the day. We talk about things we learned about the kids how they acted what worked and what could work better. (Having a child with 1p36 deletion syndrome, one with ADHD, and one with PHACE syndrome we have found these are all just names for children who are all really just normal kids that like to do normal things in a crazy world!) We sometimes get spied on by a little 4 year old till she falls asleep. This is a wonderful wind down time. These kids have brought us even further together if that's possible. Yes we have some great challenges but the rewards we find when all our brown eyed kiddos smile into our hearts...Its all worth it!!
